Recently renovated farmhouse with a beautiful view on Cortona. Quiet, peaceful with the charm of Tuscany and the luxury from home. The property, on three levels, boasts local stone and chestnut wood elements, Umbrian handmade tiles for the pavements, carefully-chosen antics and tailor-made furniture. The property includes a perfectly maintained garden of 1,5ha with heated swimming pool Fondo Caprile is surrounded by about 26ha of land, 1,5ha of which fenced in order to grant maximum privacy. Welcome to our country home, Villa Fondo Caprile, or translated, Land of the Goats. In the 18th century, the property was part of a thriving goat and olive farm, providing meat, milk, oil and cheeses to the local area. Because of the many doors that existed in the original design of the stables and pig stalls, we were able to obtain permission to create many large windows and recreate some doors into glass doors throughout the house. This allows you to enjoy the magnificent views from almost every room of the villa You’ll notice when you travel around the countryside, much of it looks as it did 400 years ago, this is because the government is very strict about retaining the original character of each building and even the roads remain dirt and not paved.

We had a great stay in the villa. Stephan was always ready to help us and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, stores and other things to do. The history of the villa that he had shared with us, was also significant for us. The nature around the villa is spectacular! We will be happy to be there again in summer!

Our love for the property was instant and we try to spend as much time as possible at the house. We have grown kids and now grandkids and Fondo Caprile is the place where we relax and spend quality time with our family.
