Col and Maureen’s place was the perfect space to get away from the bustle of the city and find the slow life. The house had everything we needed — it had plenty of space whilst the fireplace and wood finishes made it feel really cosy. Bedding was crisp and comfortable and the addition of electric blankets really showed that the hosts really care about making sure their guests are comfortable. Outside the views are vast and serene, we went for walks everyday and learnt that the surroundings were full of really interesting history. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks for having us.

Maureen and Col are very friendly hosts. From arrival to departure, they made themselves available if required. The woodfire heater was ready and going on arrival, giving you an inkling to the warmth and generosity of these two beautiful people. The space they have created, provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy some of the area’s natural beauty. If you like observing magpies and kangaroos, this property provides front row access. The wildlife is readily available and immensely enjoyable to connect with during your stay. The property has plenty of space, with all mod cons available. The rooms are spacious offering comfortable beds, and the bathroom is appropriately appointed. Amherst has great proximity to some fantastic local towns, so accessing activities in the region is made easy. Very grateful to have stayed at this property. Thanks Maureen and Col.

Our family of 5, had a wonderful stay at Colmaur! It’s a beautiful place and we loved walking around the farm and exploring the area. Maureen was a fantastic host, being super helpful. Such a great place for a family to spend time together. We will be sure to return!
