Vasantalaya is a quaint and cozy cottage in Satkhol, the Kumaon Himalayas at 6000 feet, has a mild temperate climate, pleasant summers & bracing cold winters. The cottage faces a wide-spread of oak & pine forest and the majestic range of Himalayas. The home is built with lots of love and passion. The hosts are known for their warm nature and hospitality. We welcome everyone who is looking for a pause. A decent WIFI allows you to work from home while you enjoy the serenity of the mountains. The home is perfect for a couple or anyone who is willing to be with nature. The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen and garden full of flowers, exotic fruits and local vegetables. The home always feels alive with the sound of chirping birds and the refreshing breeze passing by. Conversations on the porch will be something that you will cherish as you witness the sun rise and set.

We stayed at the property for two nights and would highly recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay. It felt just like home. There's everything you would need. Neha's parents are super kind and sweet. They will make sure you are well-fed with good food and chai. If you are a morning person, the view from your room and balcony will definitely be the highlight of your trip. If you want to unwind or just even work from the hills, this place is the one to go for. ❤️ and yes, their dog, Honey will give you awesome company.
Our stay there was really peaceful & lovely. The place is nestled away in a small town away from the touristy city of Nainital. It is a little far away from the main city but our host Megha was super helpful & helped us navigate our way to the property. Then the place itself is pretty cozy & you have your own little space with the majestic view of the Himalayas. Megha’s parents are a bunch of super sweet & warm people, they’ll help you in every way they can. And the food was delicious & homely at the same time. Would totally recommend this to someone who just wants to unwind.
it was a lovely stay. It's located remotely and one can saunter around and take long walks and treks.There is absolute peace and quiet and no disturbances during your stay.The family is very helpful and caring. it is worth the time and a great experience overall

It was cozy and comfortable..just a short climb from the road..neha's mom was sweet and always with a warm smile...the spot gets good sun, essential for winters.

You can visit the handicraft stores and buy yourself souvenirs.
The home on the hill there isn't a designated parking place however the hots will organize it for you.
To visit the nearby towns the cars can be rented. The hosts can help you.
