Location, location, location! So close, but yet so far. I am a writer. While there in the tiny-house cabin, I wrote a piece inspired by the Virilla River Canyon location. It is beautiful-inside and out-peaceful and exactly what you want when visiting Costa Rica. I have been to the country six times, and this is one of my favorite Central Valley locations. A car would be great. I didn't have one. I used Marco, a local driver who is delightful. And, all was right with the world. If you do get a car, you don't need a four wheel drive. Though, it does makes life easier.....But, you do need to not be fearful of the gravel road and turns. You'll be just fine! The destination is worth the journey. Even though it's close town, it feels like you are a world away. Just relax and soak in the beauty of the country and the quaint, comfortable cabin. Thank you Jessica and Travis for sharing your space with the world! I will be back. It's a perfect place for writers!

Jessica and Travis’ place is perfect for an escape! It is very private and has beautiful surroundings. You’ll be surrounded by nature and the occasional sounds of grackles and geckos (btw, geckos are common in Costa Rican households and are harmless!). This is the perfect stay if you’re looking for a relaxing vacation away from the city but close enough to drive to it. Jessica and Travis also recommended an engaging local driver, Marco, who can take you around town! You are also two to three hours away from some great natural beauties like the waterfalls and hot springs recommended in Jessica and Travis’ guides! I took a day and drove myself around to a few. When you arrive to the Airbnb, take steps down to the cabin, and step onto an outdoor deck with scenic views. The Airbnb is comfortable with a cozy bed, a television with WiFi and Netflix, and an economical kitchen and bathroom equipped with all that you need. Also has an outdoor shower + safety lights surround place at night.
