We had a lovely stay at this property, exploring all the local area had to offer. Convenient shops such as a pharmacy and fish and chip shop are walkable distance away. We drove to most of the places we visited so I can't comment on what else is within walking distance. Property is decorated beautifully and was warm and comfortable. Everything you need is here, all the pots, pans, cleaning supplies - everything! Sweet touches such as pet beds and blankets were left out for us to use (although we brought our own beds with us as you never know!). I personally found the noise from the main road across the way (not the one directly alongside the property) a little bothersome, but hubby had no issues. Though I'm more sensitive to noise (which is ironic as I'm literally half deaf!). No noise from neighbours AT ALL (was anyone even there?!). Parking is on the road so you'll need to be ok with parallel parking! No problems finding a space :) We'd happily stay again :)

We booked into Meryl’s place for a week in order for my dog to peacefully recuperate from his recent surgery. Meryl’s clear instructions made check in extremely easy and she even allowed us to check in earlier than expected. The cottage was pristine. Aslan chewed up one of the toys that was left for us, but Meryl was very understanding. Location wise the area is peaceful and quiet during the day but did get a little noisy at night when they were doing maintenance to the train lines. We also had a week of glorious weather in the valleys! Thank you Meryl. We will definitely recommend to families members wanting to stay nearby.

Meryl is a very kind person. She bought baby plates, cutlery and a towel for our little boy even if we didn't ask for anything. The house is very well located and typical from the region. Everything was very clean and functional. Household appliances are all high quality items. The mattresses are also really good. The region is great to visit and there is a lot to do within a 40min ride from the house (hiking, kayak, visiting the Big Pit, Cardiff...). Thank you Meryl for everything!

Meryl's cottage was a clean, comfortable and well equipped base for myself and two friends, as we were attending the nearby Steelhouse rock festival for the weekend. Finding the property was easy and check in was really straight forward with Meryl's clear instructions. All contact before and after booking was always helpful and friendly with really quick responses. Thank you Meryl for a lovely stay! I'll certainly be back if I make a return trip to the festival!
