Cape Town’s Central City is a vibrant Cbd which is home to a diverse population, and the variety of food, art, and music on offer is truly unique. Restaurants, eateries, coffee shops and a vibey nightlife are just some of the things that come to mind when thinking about Cape Town’s ‘city Bowl’.
The apartment is just as pictured, so if you like the pictures, go for it. It has a fabulous location and engaging views of the marina. The waterfront is full of restaurants and boutiques including cool, small, designer start-ups. It is beautiful and safe and fun. This apartment is smack in the middle of it, and so it made our introduction to the city so easy. Furthermore, now that we have wandered the city for several days, I don’t think I would choose to stay elsewhere. Constantia and the lovely beach-view neighborhoods beyond the mountains along the western coast had tempted me while looking for an AirB&B, but they are far enough feeling without independent transportation to have become the experience themselves. That would have been too narrow a view of this complex, multifaceted city. Don’t get me wrong, those neighborhoods are lovely — surely places one would want to live long term unlike the sort of fake, sheltered, tourist feel of the V&A Waterfront, but they are just too far to be convenient when one IS a tourist. Staying there would be like staying in Malibu when you are visiting Los Angeles. This place is…? perhaps those fancy seaside apartments in Santa Monica??? From the waterfront, we could easily hop over to the main city sights and the more interesting neighborhoods. You will automatically see those nice-but-farther areas when you do your more nature-focused tours or CT vineyard visits.
Covered parking on site.\n
