Big Bear at Black Bear Lodges is a true Adirondack treasure with all wood interiors and exquisite craftsman detailing. The property has unparalleled views of beautiful Fourth Lake from the great room and your own large private deck. The great room has a massive stone fireplace, open living space to kitchen and dining area, all with spectacular views.The kitchen is a ‘cooks kitchen’, fully equipped. While we provide the beautiful views please bring your own bed sheets, pillow cases, and towels.

The lodge was an amazing structure - spacious, beautiful hardwood flooring, pocket doors, authentic rustic furniture that was very comfortable, all paneled ceilings - a genuine experience. It was the perfect place for our three-year-old grandson to expend energy running between the playground and the safe beach area. Our private, spacious fire pit was wonderful, and the view of the sunsets…breathtaking. One of my favorite things was looking out at the stars from the safety of the deck. Would love to go back again!

We offer a wonderful beach area on 4th Lake along with 2.5 acres to relax, roam and play! You have the privacy you need in your lodge and on your deck but other lodges are close enough if you want to have multiple families share a long weekend or vacation you can rent multiple lodges to accommodate your needs. You might even meet new friends while you stay with us.

We are a short walk (five minutes) from the quaint village of Inlet, NY where you will find restaurants, shops, a grocery store, a large park and much more. The state boat launch is located four places down from us making loading and unloading your boat a breeze. We are only a 10 minute drive to Old Forge, NY where you can enjoy more shops, restaurants, and the Enchanted Forest Water Safari Water Park. We are a five minute drive to Eagle Bay and a short walk to two great trail heads for hiking: Rocky Mountain Summit and Black Bear Mountain.
