Many varieties of birds around river and property to enjoy. Peaceful setting. Short drive into town for restaurants and shopping. We had a great stay!

We were blessed to stay a month at The Roost. It was one of our favorite stays with Airbnb. We have utilized Airbnb to travel the country full time for 4 years and this was the most peaceful location of them all. The view from the wall of windows looking out over the river was such a pleasure. We enjoyed the wide variety of birds. Blue heron, golden eagles, coots, ducks, Canadian geese, kingfishers, hawks and many robins. We even saw a pair of river otter playing. You can imagine the scene and peace. Now, the amenities. The kitchen had everything we needed. The appliances were new and modern. The snack bar was wonderful to sit and look out of the window. The bed was very comfortable. That is always a concern and an unknown when you book lodging, especially for someone with insomnia. The bed gave many full nights of sleep. We loved our stay so much we have already looked at the calendar to come back. If you choose the Roost, you'll love it as much as we did. Thank you!

The Roost was a lovely and relaxing place. Beautiful view overlooking the river. It was a quiet and peaceful place to unwind, but just a short drive to downtown Astoria. Liz was a wonderful host, making sure we had what needed to be comfortable during our stay. Highly recommend the Roost!
