The house is situated in a fantastic location. We are just a few minutes’ walk from a wide sandy beach that forms part of the famous 7 long miles of Bournemouth Beach. It is a 5-minute walk to the local shop & a pleasant 20-minute walk along the river to Christchurch town centre, which hosts a variety of restaurants & bars. Seafield Gardens lies within 2-minutes’ walk & offers a children’s playground & tennis courts. We are also only a 15-minute drive from the New Forest National Park. This is a fantastic family house with a private south-facing garden. Facilities- we have a full-size basketball hoop in the garden for any keen players and we also have two bikes that can be borrowed if you wish to get around on wheels. It is also possible to use the local hire Beryl Bikes. You can hire surfboards and water sport equipment at the nearby Boscombe Beach should you wish to. We also own a croquet set which can be set up on the lawn! Garden- we have a lovely terrace outside the french windows of the lounge area that is a real sun trap- protected from the wind and catching the sun all day. There is a lawn, an outside seating area and a firepit which can be used as a BBQ. Parking- we have space for 3 cars to park on the drive and there is always room to park for free on the road itself as well. Rooms- we have a large open lounge-dining area with French windows leading out into the garden. There is a small dining table with just room for 6 adults in a cozy dining experience! There are two fireplaces in the lounge although they are not in use. There is wifi in the house and we have a stereo with CD & radio options, and a TV with access to Sky, a video and a DVD player, and LOTS of DVDs to choose from! Kitchen- the kitchen and breakfast area are also open plan and also lead out through a side door into the garden. We have a washing machine, a dish washer, and an electric oven with gas hobs. Toilets- there is a downstairs toilet and a larger family bathroom upstairs with a shower, bath & toilet. Bedrooms- we have two large bedrooms that boast double beds and some wardrobe space to hang clothes. There is also a smaller study room that has a sofa futon that folds out into a small double bed floor futon. The final room offers a chesterfield sofa bed that can sleep one adult or two small children and some wardrobe space. Please be aware we will clear a portion of the wardrobe space in 3 of the 4 rooms but some space will still be taken up with our own clothes. Please let us know in advance if you will want the futon and the sofa-bed prepared & made up for your stay. Décor- the house is fairly busy with quirky and unusual décor- it is our home- so please be aware it comes with character! Although children are welcome to stay, the house is by no means child or baby proofed and there are lots of small bits & bobs around and about that could be swallowed by curious young people. House Rules-There is a strict no smoking policy in the house, but we do provide ashtrays in the garden if you require them. Please do not hold parties and any music should be kept at a respectful volume and turned right down after 11pm. Please do not invite additional guests to visit you during your stay. We can be flexible to allow well behaved pets- if you wish to stay and bring a pet please request the stay and message us regarding your pet. Check In/out- check-in will be between 4pm- 9pm and checkout by 11am please (if you require flexibility with these times please contact us separately and we will see if we can oblige) You will be met in person when you arrive to be given the keys and shown round the property briefly. At the end of your stay please post the keys back through the letterbox when you leave.
