The Northern Neck of Virginia is very rich in history and has amazing, picturesque little towns that are fun to explore. Kilmarnock also has a Food Lion, Wal-Mart, CVS, and Walgreen for necessities. This great area is close to all the best amenities - golf at the world renowned Tides Inn, dine at one of the many restaurants located within 15 minutes, rent a canoe at Belle Isle park, tour charming waterfront villages, the Chesapeake Bay, vineyards, or historic homes & gardens. Washington, D.C. is 2.75 hrs. away, Richmond and Airport 1.5 hrs., Colonial Williamsburg-Busch Gardens & King's Dominion theme parks are 1.5 hours away, Newport News airport is also 1.5 hrs. The area is well-known for its great fishing and there are also many charter boats that go out for half-day and full-day trips to fish for Croakers, Spot, Spanish mackerel, White-Striper (Bass/Rockfish), Flounder - and more.
