Petit Guillaume was once part of the old wine chai at Maison Guillaume Blanc. Full of character, this 'rustic-chic' living space is set in three acres of tranquil parkland with beautiful vineyard views. The property offers cosy, yet spacious open plan living and sleeps two. The well-equipped kitchen will appeal to foodies who love to shop at the local markets and cook up a feast at this home from home. The stylish swimming pool, sun terrace and shady pool cabana are just a short walk away. As seen recently on Channel 5’s ‘ Holiday Homes in the Sun’ show, Petit Guillaume is a newly converted old wine chai. Many original features have been preserved such as the ancient oak beams, stone walls, curious niches and window openings. The 'rustic-chic' interiors are painted in natural and muted shades. The rooms are light and spacious. Many hours spent combing the local brocantes, antique shops and recycleries for pre-loved treasures have netted some beautiful old pieces of furniture which we have carefully upcycled. They now have a valuable second life and blend harmoniously with new and modern pieces. Underpinning the rustic-chic mix is a top-spec renovation, complete with an elegant and very spacious ensuite bedroom. Outside is your own private terrace with outside dining area and scenic view of the stylish pool area and surrounding vineyard.

We received the warmest of welcomes from Tim and Sarah and shown around the gite which was beautifully done up and had all the comforts one could ask for. Would definitely recommend it to future guests.
This is the Gold standard of Airbnb accommodation! Sarah and Tim are perfect hosts and so helpful and responsive, with great local recommendations. It’s a beautiful setting in a good location close to amenities and attractions. The pool and outdoor area overlooking a vineyard is stunning. Everything you could possibly need…and more is provided in the gite. Can’t recommend this place enough! Absolutely perfect for our needs and we look forward to returning.
Just what we were looking for, a peaceful getaway with wonderful hosts. The accommodation looked even better in real life than in the pictures and the pool overlooking the vineyard was the perfect place to chill out (with Ted the very friendly cat!). Thank you Tim and Sarah for being fabulous hosts and making us feel at home! Hopefully we will be back :)
If you're thinking about booking Maison Guillaume Blanc, DO IT! This little slice of heaven is an absolute must on a trip to the Bergerac region. Everything was outstanding and Sarah and Tim are the friendliest and most attentive hosts you could possibly ask for. Nothing was too much trouble. The gîte itself is spacious, well-equipped and very clean and the pool and grounds were immaculate. We were lucky enough to have some sunny days and it was such a treat to spend them here. If only we had booked for longer - we will definitely be back!
This was truly a five star Airbnb. We can only echo the praise given by others. Rarely do Airbnb’s exceed expectations but this one did. Set amidst wonderful countryside it was a perfect centre to explore from although we spent most of our time in the lovely garden. We did, however, venture to the local wine domaine (100metres) to buy some fine wine recommended by Tim. Our gîte was immaculate and unlike some we have visited (concoctions of cupboards plus a roof or mosquito farms) was ergonomic and easy to live in. There are gîtes we have visited that were as excellent as this one but what stands out are the hosts, Sarah and Tim. Discreet but with a natural warmth and engagement that came through. They seemed to enjoy hosting and sharing. 😊

Found in the heart of one of the most famous wine regions in the world, Petit Guillaume is located in the grounds of Maison Guillaume Blanc ; a beautiful old manor house situated in 3 acres of parkland. It is the ideal hub from which to explore this beautiful and fascinating region. A food an wine lovers paradise, think Bergerac, St Emilion, Bordeaux, Sarlat, Sunflowers, Dordogne river, valley of the chateaux and wonderful bastide markets markets selling local organic produce.
Just 2 km away is 13th century Sainte Foy La Grande , the oldest of the bastide towns in the area , and with a Saturday market which consistently features on the list of top 10 markets in France. The fabulous vibrant city of Bordeaux is 47 miles to the west and 48 miles to the east lies the medieval town of Sarlat. Outdoor activities abound with many local walks, canoeing and Golf available - a championship golf course, Chateau des Vigiers is less than 5km away.
The best way to explore the area is by car. Car rental is available at Bergerac Airport and in the nearby town. Cycling is also popular here.
