This was our second stay at Rick's place and I can't wait to come back again! The perfect location when you're showing at TIEC. This place is so comfortable to come home to after a long day of showing. I think I slept better here than I do at home! Thanks for another great stay :)

My mom and I stayed here while I competed at TIEC and it was a perfect location! Gorgeous scenery, the house was super cozy and Rick was a great host! Will definitely be back!

Such an great location - perfect for while showing or visiting Tryon International Equestrian Center. I was able to go home to shower, then go back over to check on my horse and get takeout dinner from the yummy TIEC restaurants. It is very bright with large floor to ceiling windows, with a beautiful view down to the river. The bathroom has a gorgeous original mural and a bidet?! I have stayed in a lot of AirBnbs, and I was amazed at all of the the little extras that Rick and his wife thought of - toothbrushes, razors, lovely smelling shower gel, soft fluffy towels, a new pack of bath poufs (?!), coffee and tea, a bottle of wine, travel cups with lids (I prob should have listed those after the coffee not the wine), … really too many extras to name here. Very comfortable mattress also!! And very private- I only briefly met them because they needed to bring a couple things in from the back yard because of an approaching storm.

We just can’t say enough positive about Rick and Susie as hosts. Not only is their home thoughtfully appointed (providing literally everything that we could have needed), they just could not be more delightful people and hosts. Rick and Susie respected our privacy, as did their handyman (who was there several days during our visit). In addition to our accommodation and hosts, we truly enjoyed the river, wildlife, and spectacular setting. If you often use services such as DoorDash and Instacart while traveling, you should just be advised that the area is really not conducive for those services. That being said, we enjoyed restaurant recommendations of our hosts and at the TIEC ShowGrounds - all within 20/25 minutes. (TIEC is a very predictable beautiful 15 min drive.) In addition, we simply stocked up on groceries, and made good use of the very well appointed kitchen. Bottom line, we would absolutely recommend River’s Edge, Rick & Susie (Marley 🐶 too)!
