亚特兰大 · 整套乡村小屋 · 2室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Historic 2BD/1 BA in Cabbagetown
Original, tastefully renovated 2-bedroom cottage in historic Cabbagetown. Steps from Cabbagetown Park, around the corner from Esther Peachy Park, a few minutes walk to restaurants and bars, the beltline, etc. Dog-friendly with a fenced-in backyard. This is a mill cottage built in 1905. It has hardwood floors throughout, ten-foot ceilings, a front porch, side patio, and back yard. Central air and heat are controlled via a smart thermostat. Wifi is provided. (Please note that the house is more 100 years old. You may hear creaks, or feel a draft [although I've just upgraded the weatherstripping]. There are sometimes animals outside--usually squirrels, but sometimes possums or other creatures. A family of chipmunks live in the side yard.) The master bedroom has a king-size bed; the second bedroom has a queen. The main bedroom has a standard frame/box spring/mattress setup, while the second bedroom has a Murphy bed with a Serta mattress. The stove and heat are both powered by gas. There is one full bath with a shower and tub.
This is one of the loveliest homes I’ve ever stayed in. Eric could not have been a more wonderful host and was incredibly helpful. The house is filled with beautiful paintings and antiques. The beds are super comfortable. The neighborhood is stunning filled with trees and bird song. There are nearby beautiful parks. We loved every second being there.
This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway to Atlanta. The house is adorable and in such a cute neighborhood that is convenient to everything. I would definitely stay here again.
Cabbagetown is such a great, walkable, cool neighborhood in Atlanta, and this house had all the cabbagetown vibe. It was clean, with really cool art and decorations. We decided we’d like to be the host’s friend based on the decor and books. The only drawback was no coffee machine but there’s a great coffee shop a 1 minute walk away. Would definitely stay here again for another staycation.
Cabbagetown is a National Landmark Historic District. It centers on the old Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill (now lofts), and comprises original shotgun houses, mill cottages (like mine) and newer homes built in a similar style. There are two parks, a coffee shop, bars, restaurants, etc. nearby. The beltline is a short walk away.
Parking is on-street but plentiful. You should be able to park right in front of the house, except during the Chomp and Stomp festival, when the street is closed off. The house is less than a mile from two MARTA stations (Inman Park-Reynoldstown and King Memorial). There is a Relay bike-sharing station a stone's throw away at the entrance to Cabbagetown Park, and another 1/3 of a mile away on Carroll St. You can also walk to many places; the house has a walkscore of 80 (very walkable).
