Sleeps 4 – 1 large double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom (Can also be made as 2 large double bedrooms) Situated next to a stream and with a shared lawned garden, the cottage is ideal for a small family to enjoy a Scottish break away. The living accommodation is accessed by four internal steps and features a farmhouse-style kitchen with a Belfast sink. An excellent cottage for a family holiday in magnificent surroundings. The sitting room boasts an open fire, whilst up the wooden staircase are two cosy bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities. The bedrooms have super king-size double beds, one of which can be made into a twin on request. Both have en-suite shower, basin and WC. (can’t be two twins) Ground floor basin and WC. Really lovely, spacious place to stay and great to walk around the castle grounds!
This was the most tranquil place i have ever stayed at. Yes, the cottage itself was beyond expectations but the surroundings and particularly the river walk were outstanding. I think being Autum i saw it at its best with all the colour changes in the trees. I have to say the place is so dark and so quiet that i slept like a baby. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with such a beautiful place. The facilities within the cottage were more than we needed and it was so clean and confortable.
A wonderful estate and cottage. The sitting room was large with comfortable furniture. The bed was also very comfortable and having an en-suite was just what we wanted. Fantastic walks around the estate. Really accessible for the local attractions and coast. Very peaceful.

Cloncaird Castle is one of Scotland’s true hidden gems. Dating back to the 15th century, it stands in 140 acres of stunning surroundings beside the river Girvan at Kirkmichael, Ayrshire.
We are only a short drive from Prestwick International Airport and one hour ten minutes from Glasgow Airport. Kirkmichael is the local village and the historic town of Ayr is nearby.
Cloncaird Castle is located on the banks of the beautiful River Girvan. This setting gives the park a very exclusive feel and the estate also provides a superb base for exploring this stunning region of south-west Scotland.
Walking and hiking tracks are plentiful in the area which is a paradise for keen equestrians. Our holiday cottages are also within easy reach of many Top Ayrshire Golf courses such as Turnberry, Prestwick and Troon.
