The place was cosy and as described. Could have done when a deep clean though. Also some noticeable damage throughout the property. The parking is very tight but we managed, it's a slim walled passage through to a row of parking bays. Not much room to manoeuvre, having front and rear parking sensors is a must. Although I was in a medium-sized car. Would book again if I was in the area 👍

Great central location. Bonus to have a parking space- we managed to squeeze an Audi A3 in there but it is tight as mentioned. Good space in the living areas Only negative- could really do with a deep clean

We had a great stay at Laburnum Cottage. It's tucked away behind the main hub of Windermere so very peaceful but still just a stone's throw from many places to eat, drink and shop. Windermere Town Centre is small so everything is walkable. The cottage was perfect for us size wise (2 adults, 1 child, 1 dog). We particularly loved the cosy set up of the lounge, plenty of sofa space for everyone to spread out which you don't always get in holiday homes. Appliances worked as they should and there were instructions at the cottage about how to use things. One downside was the shortage of glasses as there were only 3 non-wine/champagne glasses. Plenty of everything else. Note that the information about the parking is correct. We have a large hatchback and only managed to park at the cottage twice, when there were no other cars around to enable us to get into a space. The rest of the time, we parked at the pay and display 5 mins walk away. Communication prior to arrival was helpful and prompt.

Laburnum Cottage is a wonderful cosy place to stay in the lake district. The traffic there is very convenient. Staffs are very warm hearted and helped us solve problems. Would recommend this place.
