We had an amazing stay at Cambridge House…Thana is an amazing host & will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is wonderful….the SHIOmakase degustation Dinner is a must do…Kaz is an amazing chef & will guide you through the 14 courses with matching Sake…it was an absolutely outstanding evening & the food is on another level…we loved every minute of our stay!

This is a very special type of BnB, Breakfast and Bed as they say. Thana is an interior designer and very hospitable host. Check in before 16.30 to have complementary afternoon "tea" (snack and drink of choice, ours Saki) and view Platypus. In the evening (must book 1 day advance so Chef can have fresh ingredients picked that day) Chef Kazumasa-san will give you a dining experience that would be difficult to find anywhere in the world (and I have travelled a lot inc Japan) and defiantly unique to Australia I would think. Wild Platypus in the stream through the garden makes it unique. Japanese Omakase style with slight French twist using fresh Tasmanian ingredients. Max 6 PAX but Chef prefers less. The atmosphere is very calming and relaxing due to the styling of the rooms. Then there is breakfast, that is another dining experience to itself where again Thana and Chef Kazumasa will spoil you. Staying at Cambridge House is an experience, not a stay, foodies delight.

You will forever be spoiled after this experience. The food is extraordinary, the customer service exemplary, the location beautiful, peaceful and calming. We wanted for nothing and nothing was too much trouble for Thana and Kaz. They bent over backwards to make our experience enjoyable. The recommendations were spot on and we will treasure the memories for a lifetime. We have no hesitation in recommending them and would definately like to return.
