The house was amazing, host was very responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, we had confusion on buses and taxi. It's always good to let the bus driver know you want to be drop by the train station. We walk few blocks to get to the train station. We find it after being lost the first try. Also we couldn't find a place that sells bus tickets. It was an experienced we will never forget walking all the way to the train station. My 81 yrs old father was with us. It was good we walked and not to wait for the bus or taxi, we could have missed our train to Rome and our flight to Greece. Dino was very apologetic. It wasn't his fault. We learned that you can walk all the way to the train station.

Dino was really helpful and made the check in very easy. He had a book with the nearest restaurants, beaches and parcs which was really cool. The appartment is tidy and had everything we needed.

Grace's home is a beautiful apartment in Marola, an area just outside of La Spezia on the way towards Porto Venere. The area is quiet and pretty. Dino was one of the best AirBNB hosts I've had, and he was very accommodating and helpful. We actually booked his place last last minute (like at 11PM of the day we arrived) because our original lodging had issues. He was super communicative! The apartment is lovely, and it had everything we needed. Of particular note - the kitchen is well stocked and included olive oil, salt, pepper, and a variety of spices (oregano, rosemary, etc). All the appliances worked well, though there is only AC on the top floor. We stayed with two little kids and appreciated the touches Dino considered - a gate for the top of the spiral staircase to keep our toddler safe, a high chair, and a Pack 'n Play (camp bed in Italy!). Note that there are lots of narrow steps and you have to walk to the apartment (no cars in the alleyways). OK for us, but not for all!
