Lovely view of Katama Pond. Distant view of a part of Norton Beach. Comfortable upper deck. Interior was comfortable. Note it is set up for young children with bunk beds, toys etc. Living room was comfortable. Bedrooms were fitted with IKEA type furnishings. AC was helpful as typical Chappy humidity was prevalent. New kayak and 2 newer bikes were great. The place needs maintenance. We had issues with a water heater breaking down, malfunctioning smoke alarms and ceiling fan. Lower covered deck is cluttered with older bikes and unusable furniture-we never used it during our two week stay. 6 beach chairs were broken-we used 2 newer high back chairs for the beach. We had to provision the house with some cleaning and toilet supplies when we first arrived. Erica reimbursed us for the provisions and for the fact we had no usable hot water for the first part of our stay. Not the vacation home we had hoped for though the natural beauty of Chappy and the Vineyard was spectacular as always.

We really enjoyed our stay on Chappaquiddick. This house is bright and airy, with a nice, if small, open kitchen, breakfast nook and dining/living room area. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you might need. There are three bedrooms with two full baths, an upper and a lower deck, a charcoal grill with briquets included. Spectacular sunsets and star-gazing. Friendly note to visitors: if you've never been to Chappaquiddick before, beware that there is no commercial district on the island; banks/atms, supermarkets, restaurants, coffee places, gas stations etc are all a ferry ride (S) away. Fortunately we arrived almost fully provisioned. But that distance is also what makes "Chappy" special - the quiet, the lack of crowds and traffic, at least in mid-September. This is a special place - we would love to return.

We loved staying on Chappy! It couldn’t be more perfect. The remoteness and views of Aquinnah and only 10 minutes from Edgartown with no parking problem! The view from this home is incredible. There is super comfortable furniture on the deck and that is the place we wanted to be. When the afternoon sun was too hot the super comfortable furniture in the living room with the same view became the spot for reading. Erica is a responsive and wonderful host and did a wonderful job preparing the house for us with small touches like a pair of ferry tickets and a lovely bottle of wine. We would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic location. Beautiful unobstructed views. Endless ocean breezes on the decks. We felt like we had our own private pristine Bay and Beach. 10 minutes to downtown Edgartown for great food and shopping. 5 minutes to access beaches for off-roading (get an OSV Permit). House included 4 bicycles and a 2 person kayak. Erica was extremely responsive and helpful while planning the details of our vacation. Can’t wait to return! Mark M.
