This brand-new restoration is a worthy companion hotel to the Coulter, just a couple of blocks away, in the tiny (pop. ~100) southeast CO plains town of Pritchett. Even by High Plains standards, this is a remote town: no groceries or gas in Pritchett, so be sure to stock up. Tranquil and peaceful. We were the only ones at the hotel, which has shared bathrooms. Rooms are newly remodeled with new A/C, colorful comforters and decor, and super-comfy memory foam beds (they seem firm at first, but I slept like a log). Each room is a bit different. Room #209 (aka room 9) was stylish and is recommended for those who want a dark room (e.g., morning light well blocked out). No breakfast on hand, but a spacious kitchen and two rooms with dining tables. No TV, but this is a place where you savor the peacefulness. Great spot!
