Enjoy this 750 sq ft peaceful mountain getaway. It is about 3 miles from Blue Ridge Parkway which is known for its scenery and mountain overlooks. It’s about 6 miles from Stone Mountain Park with lots of outdoor activities like hiking, swimming holes and waterfall watching. If that’s not your thing head over to Elkin, NC and do some wine tours/tasting. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for, no need to leave the cabin. There are on-site books, games and VHS movies. Year round hot tub! Uncle Jim's Cabin is a two bedroom one bath cabin in the secluded woods near Roaring Gap, NC. The master bedroom has a queen bed and drawers for clothes, floor lighting and a ceiling fan. The second bedroom has a bunk bed full on the bottom and twin on the top. There is also a dresser with mirror attached and a ceiling fan. Both bedrooms have ample closet space with hangers included. The bathroom has recently been renovated and has a walk in shower, sink and toilet. The shower has a relaxing rain head feature. The living room has an over-sized couch and chair, Smart TV, VHS player, books and VHS movies. The living room oversized coffee table also serves as the only dining table except for the outdoor patio table. There are plenty of TV trays for eating on the comfy furniture. There is a gas fireplace for those chilly nights in the fall and winter(November through March). The kitchen is well appointed with anything you will need to make a nice meal. There is also a coffee maker, toaster, George Foreman and tea pot. There are two deck spaces. The front deck is covered and has a bistro table, bench and 2 adirondack chairs. The back deck has a sprawling 6 person table with umbrella. There is also a fire pit area with adirondack chairs available. NOTE: Bookings between November 1st through April 1st will be required to "open" and "close" the cabin with a few simple extra steps. Please inquire if concerned with opening/closing a breaker at the panel. Also during this time the pilot for the fireplace will need to be lit as it’s not on when the cabin is unoccupied. Thanks!
