Ein wunderbarer Ort. Weitläufig, verwunschen, viel zu entdecken und eine große Freiheit. Es waren einige Gäste vor Ort und doch haben wir kaum jemanden gesehen da das Gelände wirklich rießig ist. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles ist - wie bei einem Gebäude dieser Größe zu erwarten - schwer komplett steril sauber zu halten. Da ist schon mal eine Spinne hier und dort. Aber ohne wäre es nur halb so schön und besonders. Toll auch, dass es kaum Mücken, Wespen oder dergleichen gab. Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt, viele Sternschnuppen gesehen und die Umgebung genossen. Wir können diese Unterkunft unseren Freunden und allen anderen wärmstens empfehlen.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la disponibilité, la gentillesse et la réactivité de notre hôte . Le logement est parfaitement équipé pour une famille de 5 p. avec des grands-enfants (ou plus !). Tous s'y sont bien sentis et ont apprécié l'espace intérieur comme extérieur. Le babyfoot est un plus indéniable ! La bijouterie situé au sein du parc du Château de la Chaussée est un gite très agréable, très beau et très ressourçant, pour passer du temps en famille dans une région très agréable. Nous avons adoré notre séjour.

A place with great potential spoilt by a number of issues It’s with regret that I write this review. This is the first time in over 5 years of using Airbnb that I’ve given such a low rating but for the sake of future guests I must be honest and hope that the host takes the feedback on board and changes are made. We encountered a number of issues in our stay (E.g. no working wifi which we were reliant on for our baby monitor), despite raising these with the host on several occasions no attempt was made to check or fix them. On raising them the host confronted us angrily, accused me of being “dishonest” and subsequently questioned the character of both myself and my family. This seemed a very disproportionate response and would have led to us leaving the property early had it not been left until so late in the day when we had to put our baby to bed. The issues we encountered led to us requesting a refund which Airbnb have been very good at resolving and have determined that we were right to do so and processed a partial refund for the stay. The experience left us shocked and questioning how the situation escalated. I must now take reassurance in the many previous great experiences we’ve had when using Airbnb in the past as both a guest and host and put this down to an unfortunate misunderstanding, but cannot in good conscience recommend this property to other travellers.

We enjoyed our stay at Chateau De La Chaussee. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. The location is beautiful and practical. The only issue was with the readiness of the Airbnb for us - as they further prepare for hosting, it will make for a great location for remote work!
