Great hosts! They had some cider, wine and donuts ready for us when we arrived. The place is quite out in the rural area but close enough to places like Mackinaw/Mackinac city and island. It’s a quite picturesque part of the area. The place is dog friendly which makes it really great for us. The bedrooms are nice sized with two queen sized beds in two rooms and one room with two twin beds. I would say this place might not be the best for folks with very small children under 3 because there are some parts of the apartment that are not child proof. For example there are some loose floorboard or place where there are vents in the middle of the floor that could be safety hazards for little ones. Great space for families with older children and adults. Loved the quietness of the area too. Overall a restful, quiet retreat in the country.

This stay was such a gem. We were looking for a dog friendly place near Maniac Island for a weekend trip. Our dogs are young and active and this place was fantastic and perfect for our family. It was near a polo field and our dogs had fantastic time exploring the area on our morning walks! Location was also clutch, it was 20 minutes from most Mackinac city. We drove up and took the ferry with our dogs to the island. The next day, we explored all the places John (the owner) suggested we do. It ended up being one of our more memorable trips. I can’t say enough great things about John’s hospitality. We had a bottle of wine and cider doughnuts waiting for us when we checked in. He was so communicative and attentive that it made the trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable. For anyone thinking about a visiting this area, go ahead and book this rental especially if you are traveling with dogs. You won’t regret it

What a charming place! Pure bliss, like the name of the town. Quiet, secluded, across from bliss polo, grocery store on the lower level. We were wife, husband, toddler, and 2 dogs. We had plenty comfort staying at this place. With 3 bedrooms, this place will also be great for a large group. One of the other good things about the place is that it is only 15-20 minutes to Mackinaw City, or Petoskey if you want to go that way. So stay here, and make your trip to those places, or maybe stay indoors for a day, and enjoy the quiet & scenic Bliss & Sturgeon Bay Area. The owner is very caring. We had bottle of wine, Michigan made organic coffee, waiting for us in the kitchen on our arrival. Then tasty muffins & cookies from harbor springs the next day. Owner was communicative throughout the stay, and provided some great recommendations in the area. Overall, a pleasant experience, and worth coming back.

This is an adorable apartment in an amazing location. It’s an easy drive to great hikes, beaches, the Headlands, Mackinaw, Petoskey, etc. We saw polo matches and practice from the porch and living room. You can hear the hooves… so cool! The store downstairs had a great selection of snacks and drinks. The building is OLD, like historic old, and we loved all the charming details. John was extremely communicative and helpful during our stay. We were the first guests and the few hiccups we had were very quickly corrected and we are sure that the place will only get better over time. We’ll be back again some day soon ☺️.
