Beautiful historic home, perfectly described, warm, cozy, and self-sufficient. A privilege to be able to stay here. Excellent instructions and communication. The house is 'lived-in', and has, as described, narrow stairs and split and uneven levels, but this was described ahead of time and perfectly fine for us. We very much enjoyed the house, the covered outdoor area, and being right on the canal. Truly beautiful property, and lovely host ❤️ thank you Robert, we will remember our stay at the Ship forever ❤️😊😍

We had a great stay at Roberts house, he was helpful and welcoming - providing cot and high chair. The house has lots of space, a beautiful garden and outdoor dining space. A shed full of toys which the children loved and books you could read for days. The highlight was the quaint dining ledge for 2 which overlooks the tow path and canal. The perfect spot for a morning coffee watching the narrow boats go by. A beautiful home, kindly shared. We really did have a great stay.

Absolutely stunning property and location. Brilliant for the kids - there was a high chair and cot provided, slide in the garden and they loved playing with the dolls house. The garden was also brilliant for the dog to have a run around. We were met at the door by the host’s daughter who made sure we knew where everything was which was great and really appreciated. We loved our stay at the ship and would highly recommend.

We had a lovely few days staying at this gorgeous, cosy cottage on the canal. It’s a great location and the house has loads of history. Our kids loved the garden & toys. We enjoyed walks & the local pub. Visited the Natural History Museum in Tring & went on the nature trail at the nearby Woods. Robert had plenty of information & it really is like being home from home!

This is not a rental property. It’s a private house, the occupants have gone on holiday. The house is full of their personal possessions, leaving no room to store or hang anything. During our stay we had two violations, people just walking into the house without our permission. Why these people have keys to a property we have paid for is ridiculous
