Gilly was a very pleasant host and made me feel very welcome. Especially welcome was the fact she allowed me to charge my electric car as charging points in the area are few and far between. You need to mention if you intend charging phones or using electronic devices over night as Gilly turns all house sockets off over night if not needed. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Gilly was a great host, with a nice home, including lovely kitchen and bathroom. Gilly was very helpful on advising places to eat locally.

Where do I start, Gilly told me not to expect to see any black people in the area because it is an affluent area. Gilly did not hand over key until she had confirmed payment two days in to stay and even had the cheek to tell me not to cut a copy. Come on now! The host also switched off electricity to my room over night and only gave me two hours to charge stuff. The house was also very cold, heating only on for a little while, I had to sleep wearing a woolly hat and two pairs of socks on. I found Gilly to be very over bearing to the point when I nearly snapped when she told I had to park my van 5 mins walk away and walk back so as not to upset the neighbours. She also didn’t want me taking work calls outside her premises.

Gilly is a great host. Very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast. I would definitely stay again if I’m the area. Recommended.
