I’m a Hatfield descendent and brought my best friends to the border for the first time to show them where I grew up. I am SO glad I found Valerie and this lovely gem! Not only was it adorable and spotless with a surprisingly ritzy bathroom, it was nestled in a beautiful cradle in the mountain right near the gate to KY. It was an emotional trip for me, so it was an unexpected delight that my friends and I were joined by a polite, gentle and friendly dog who sat with us while we had our coffee. Valerie provided perfect instructions for finding it, including the best address to put into the GPS (if you’re Appalachian, you know) and the direct landmarks. All in all, staying here was a highlight of an overall very lovely trip. Thank you so much, Valerie!

Nice and neat, with snacks, and a friendly host. The price is good as well. I didn't get a chance to utilize the gazebo, but it looked nice as well. If you are wanting to explore the many ATV trails around, this place is perfect! Plenty of parking space as well for your trailers.

The stay was amazing, the hosts treated us like family and were so helpful! Very close to all the trails!

Valerie was a wonderful host! She was very responsive and helpful and we very much enjoyed staying at her place! I would do it again!! Highly recommend it.
