Desmond was so helpful the entire month I stayed with him. He helped with anything I needed, kept the apartment so clean, and was generous when it came to dinner and meals. It was also really easy to get into manhattan from desmond’s place only had to take 1 bus that is right outside of his apartment straight into manhattan. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a great stay at Desmond's place and he made us feel very welcome. Very handy location too with the bus stop nearby. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed with Desmond for a week and it was absolutely perfect, no complaints! The room is right next to the front door, bathroom directly next to the room and the rest of the apartment is covered with a curtain all of which ensures great privacy. Although the Airbnb is shared it did not feel like it. We went into manhattan everyday of our stay, leaving in the morning and returning at night, meaning we barely saw Desmond, which for us was perfect as it felt like private accommodation. With that being said, anytime we needed to talk to Desmond he responded very quickly and was always extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, great city views from the room and the bus, which is just down the street from the apartment and a short 20 minutes into the heart of manhattan. If you’re not looking to go to manhattan everyday, North Bergen is a beautiful town with many restaurants and great parks. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely book again if I ever return

Great location, well-connected to NYC via public transport, and the room even has a partial NYC skyline view. Bathroom conveniently next to the room, and the room itself was pretty clean, sufficiently sized and comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful, very responsive to messages. We had a slightly rocky start to our stay with some missing bedding and a boiling hot room but those issues were resolved quickly for the remainder of the stay. Overall a good experience and a great value.
