The Summer House is less than a 5-minute walk from the beach and 15 minutes from the centre of the New Forest, quietly tucked away in the centre of the village. It is a well-presented family cottage arranged on three floors; Built 15 years ago, it has all the modern comforts you and your family will need. Milford-on-Sea is a beautiful place to explore and enjoy, with many restaurants, bars, and cafes. Events are held all year around on The Green ranging from music and food festivals to carols. The Summer House is one of those rare finds that manages to be a home from home for young and older families alike. With cosy shared spaces to cook, eat and relax together and the all important space for children and young adults that allow us to come together and find our own calm over the course of the time away - bliss! For those working remotely or those called away from the family while away, a tranquil separate space on the top floor - not only gives you a glimpse of the Isle of Wight - gives you a space to join video conferences or phone calls as well as the head space to compose the all important email to remind everyone you are on holiday!
As we walked through the door, it was the wow factor an absolutely fabulous property with everything you needed for your stay. Location super, beach a stroll down the road with a lovely cafe and a choice of pubs, we can thoroughly recommend the smugglers inn, excellent food, lovely staff. I can honestly say that, we'll book another stay there again later in the year. If I came up on the lottery I would buy this beautiful property, it 💯 ticks all the boxes
Enjoyed a great stay in the bright, airy and comfortable Summer House. It had everything we needed and was close to all the local amenities. Can highly recommend.
Perfect location. Lots of different options to eat in easy walking distance. Beach 10 minute walk with amenities. Lots to do in local area. Despite location behind high street, was quiet. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Well stocked kitchen with glassware, cooking and serving equipment. We ate out so can’t comment on cooking facilities as such but it seemed to have everything. Plenty of hot water, towels, soap, etc. Responsive host who was able to give us an earlier check in time and clear instructions on how to get there and access to the property.. Would definitely recommend and return. No complaints. Only minor points - a coffee or side tables in the lounge area would be nice. It’s a shame the parking area is directly outside the lounge as it was a tight fit with the car, the picnic table and seats in that area and it was a shame that the view was then of the car and the car park to the church rather than the garden. But I’m nitpicking. It was a lovely sun trap.
