The floor to ceiling glass windows of the living room afford wonderful views of the water and even stretch out as far as Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island on a fine day. Open up the door and head out onto the balcony to breathe in the fresh sea air. Nearby is the centre of Berwick, you can walk directly there from the property and explore the independent shops and cafe down the cobbled streets

Waterfront is a three-storey Grade II listed townhouse with a rich and interesting history - once a whaling house and then serving as a small maltings for Berwick and then becoming a home for sail making, this pierside building has now been refurbished once more into 12 upmarket townhouses. Many of the rooms have views out to sea and on the other side of the property is a detached communal 'secret garden' hidden away, take the stairs up on top of the next building for some mind blowing views! Not ideal for young children but a wonderful outside space to sit in the sun with something cool and fruity and a good book.

Size: Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms

Beds: 1 zip and link super king or twin beds (Please request at time of booking, otherwise beds will be presented as found), 1 king size bed, 1 super king

Rooms: Ground floor: Bedroom with zip and link beds twin (3ft) or super king (6ft) with double wardrobe and sea views (Please request at time of booking, otherwise beds will be presented as found). This house has three lovely bedrooms each with wonderful views of the sea. It is well equipped and very clean. Sadly, the lounge furniture is not the same as pictured. The settee is leather or plastic and not very comfortable. It is also very worn in places. One of the patio doors is permanently misted which impedes the view a little. However, this lovely house is in a great location and the secret garden is worth locating. It's a fabulous surprise! We spent lots of time exploring the area including Bamburgh, North Berwick in Scotland and a fab walk from St Abbs to Eyemouth with great bus connections. Berwick upon Tweed has lots of history and some lovely shops. As with many towns, it has a lot of empty shops but some beautiful buildings and interesting history. We had a great 3 days.
Nice location. Quiet with views over the estuary. Very good welcome pack. It turned quite cold outside when we were there mid November but it was always nice and warm inside.
There is much to like about this property, location and views lovely! The house was warm comfortable and spacious. It states it has a smart tv but it wasn’t. We also had an issue with Wi-Fi which was unresolved during our stay this meant we couldn’t access iPads etc. Sadly we had no communication from the host to try and resolve the issue. The area has plenty to do and the balcony really is a great bonus.
