Step through the front door into the cosy sitting room where relaxation in front of the inglenook fireplace will be first on your list and the ‘snug’ seating area provides a romantic setting for you to enjoy dinner. The repurposed Champagne riddling rack doors are just one of the quirky handmade features you’ll find throughout the cottage. From the kitchen, climb the handcrafted elm staircase which leads to a botanically inspired king size bedroom, complete with a luxurious 2,800 pocket sprung mattress which will ensure a fabulous night's sleep. Just opposite the bedroom is a shower room boasting a beautiful stained glass window. Following on from the kitchen is a small garden room that overlooks the delightful courtyard garden complete with a small seating area; a perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco summer supper or unwind with a glass of wine. Conscious decisions have been made to make this cottage 'vegan aware' and as 'eco-friendly' as possible to minimise our impact on the world. On street parking directly outside the cottage is available but cannot always be guaranteed. Alternative parking can easily be found further up the same road or within The Square, which is just a short walk away from the cottage. The property is well equipped for a self-catering escape including: gas central heating, gas wood burner, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. No smoking. Both the bedroom and sitting room have smart TV’s, along with an Echo Dot smart speaker in the sitting room, and the kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher. Please note, due to the nature of the property, there is restricted headroom through some doorways (lowest 165cm) and regretfully it is not suitable for children or wheelchair users. The cottage is located just a short walk from The Square, the centre of the village. Uffculme is a warm and welcoming Devon village nestled within the tranquil landscape of the Blackdown Hills AONB and home to Coldharbour Mill; one of the oldest woollen textile mills in the UK having been in continuous production since 1797. There is so much to do in and around this popular area of Mid Devon. The village has a pub, a small shop, and a café ensuring everything you need is right on your doorstep.
