The lake house was spectacular in condition, amenities and the view of the lake was simply calming and so far from the hustle and bustle of city life. What a great place to just rest & recharge or write a novel

Everything we hoped for on our family vacation! Beautiful, clean, well-stocked, great communication with host! Our family loved the lake and the canoes as well! Perfect setting for enjoying intentional time with the family!

My husband and I stayed at this Airbnb for a week with our families and actually hosted our wedding on the property. I cannot say enough good things about this place or it’s hosts, Bob and Deb. First off, it was very easy to find and the road was paved the entire way to the camp. There is a boat launch right next to the dock so you can easily bring your boat or rent one. All of the rooms have very comfortable king beds. The place is FULLY stocked, I’m talking spices, condiments, beach and bath towels, all the necessities for a lobster supper (pots, crackers, etc), and so much more! This has been my absolute favorite Airbnb experience! Also, Bob and Deb were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They live just down the road so if we ever needed anything we had assistance. I will absolutely visit again and you should too!

My family has stayed in a number of Airbnb's over the years and I have to say that this was the most well-stocked one we've ever been to. Everything you could possibly need was on hand. This is clearly a home that is in lived in and loved and not simply an investment property. Bob and Deb were great communicators. Always responded quickly and thoughtfully. They met us upon arrival and actually live at a nearby home and so were easily accesible if we had additional questions. And, to be clear, while they lived nearby and were certainly accessible - they were in no way intrusive. They were available but otherwise welcomed us when we arrived and then allowed us to jump right into our family vacation. They are a lovely couple and quite knowledgeable about the area. The home itself is gorgeous. The windows up to the roofline allow for great lighting and a terrific view of the lake - which is only steps away from the large deck outback. We were a small family of 4 but this house could easily accomodate families of 8-12 people comfortably. The master suite on the first floor was great. Bed and bedding were very comfortable. The 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor were all spacious and beds were also very comfortable . The bathroom up there is very nice with two separate sinks that are separated from where the shower and toilet are. This was nice because if one person was showering...someone could be out brushing their teeth, etc. before bed. There is also a TV on the 2nd floor but we honestly didn't really use it much at all. The main floor is large and complemented by a screened in porch on one side and open deck on the other side. There is a HUGE dining room table sitting in front of the window overlooking the lake that seats 12+ people. The kitchen was fully stocked... I mean fully! No need to bring any pots, pans, measuring cups, spices, etc. Everything you could need was there. The basement was great fun. There is a ping pong table and foosball table. We played a lot of pingpong down there for sure! The boys (ages 15 and 13) loved it! The home really struck a nice balance of having some high end appeal and also real family life appeal (Clearly nice artwork hanging balanced by fun family photos as well) It was so comfortable and clearly well cared for as well. We fished and canoed almost every day we were there. The lake is just gorgeous. The fishing was tough but we did land perch, pickerel and small mouth bass while we there....oh, and one small catfish at night too! The lake is also really peaceful. We were there over the weekend and during the week and it wasn't the kind of place where you have speed boats and jet skis racing around. It is very chill. You can also hear the beautiful calls of Loons on the lake. That was the first time we had ever seen those birds before and they are beautiful. We did some walking on the main roads around the lake too. I would suggest this as well. There are a few areas that you come across that are super pretty that you would otherwise miss. Open meadows in one area and another area that takes you over a small wooden bridge that overlooks some water ways. I would recommend having some insect repellent though...mosquitos and black flies did rear their ugly heads from time to time. Firepit outback was also put to use a couple nights. Smores under the stars. Speaking of stars - there really is no light pollution so the moon and stars over the lake were gorgeous for sure. I know this review is getting long so just a couple more things for what it is worth. Shopping - you will definitely want to do some food shopping before you arrive. The closest town with any kind of grocery stores is between 30-40 minutes away in Lincoln. We stopped on our way and picked up a few things for breakfast and lunch and we ate out for dinner a couple times either in Lincoln or on our way back from one of our day trips. Anyway - definitely try to stock up and bring your grocery list because it is not a quick trip to the corner store if you forget something. Day trips - we went to Acadia National Park one day. About a 2.5hr drive south. It is definitely worth it and I would highly recommend it. We ended that trip by driving out to bass harbor lighthouse - which is about 30 minutes from the National Park entrance. 100% worth the extra drive...particularly if you time it like we did and arrive just as the sun is setting. We also did a day trip into Canada and visited St. Andrews. This was an easy trip...just under 2hrs. Great shopping and restaurants and historical sites as well. Also a worthwhile trip. You cross the Border at Calais Maine and St. Stephen's Canada. There is an aquarium there that you can visit that allows you to walk out into the Bay of Fundy at lowtide. So - in case you hadn't noticed, we loved our trip, the house and the experience as a whole and we would 100% recommend this house to anyone giving it some consideration.

We had so much fun in this place. Bob and Deb are amazing hosts and they do everything to take care of their guests. The place is huge and well-equipped and super clean. The photos do not do that justice to show how amazing this place is. We also got some kayaks from Bob and Deb and did kayaking in the lake which was amazing. You cannot see the grill in the pictures but there is a very good grill that we used for BBQ.
