Staying here was a complete disaster. The heater wasn’t working properly so we spent the first 2 days living in 58 degrees (inside). It was dusty, had spider webs, and the towels smelled really musty. And lastly, we lost water the second to last day & night so we checked out early. Never experienced anything like this. When I reported the water was off it took more than 24 hours for anyone to respond. Every response was, “we are doing what we can” or “we can’t do anything about it.”

In short: The house is beautiful- decor is fantastic. House has a bug problem. House did not meet our standards on cleanliness. Host is a property management company- and their priority seems to be solely business, with no interest in making you feel warm and welcome. -We would not stay again. In Length: DECOR: house was gorgeous. legitimately impressive when you walk in. they did an amazing job restoring the house. Barn doors on bathrooms don't give ideal privacy, but looked good. Coffee was provided, and was pretty dang good. BUGS: We killed 4 cockroaches and saw over 6 in the span of 3 days. The patio was infested with spiders and looked like it hadn't been dewebbed in a looong time. An email following booking mentioned "Georgia has critters and we spray".... I feel more could be done. CLEANLINESS: There was toilet paper in the toilet still when we arrived, but a "if seal is broken.." sticker was lazily sticking to the side of seat... Dishes had food debris stuck inside and on the sides of the dishes in the cabinet. Place was DUSTY. Hosts: Had 3 qualms 1) We rented the house for the purpose of reuniting my dad and his brother who'd been adopted away 60 years ago. Our family meeting up would total to 9ppl- all immediate family. We requested if 1 extra person could be added to the reservation as they wouldn't be STAYING at the house, just gathering for the day for the reunion. We stressed there wouldn't be a celebration or party- just needing a more intimate place for us to meet rather than a restaurant. They were quick to respond NO EXCEPTIONS. We couldn't have one more person- max was 8. Rules are rules, we understood and didn't violate it. We already made the reservation, so we just met elsewhere. 2) I booked the reservation, for Thursday thru Monday by error. We were to be visiting Friday thru Monday. Within 12hrs of making my reservation, I realized my mistake and reached out with a request for a date change. They were again quick to respond that they give no refunds-NO EXCEPTIONS and denied my request. I found their inability to be AT ALL flexible pretty harsh. I'm used to having very warm and welcoming interactions with hosts on AIRBNB. Never have I been met with Company-like strictness and regulation. Each to their own, airbnb is a business- just not what I like. Luckily when I responded with my frustration that they were wrong for trying to profit off AN ERROR, I was finally met with an approval for date change. 3) They will stress over and over the value of their property and the items in it. They had us legitimately worried and uncomfortable during our stay that we would have miscellaneous charges for damage. When we got there, we took photos of all nicks, cracks, and broken things prior JUST IN CASE they claimed anything. Did not make us feel at home.
