Can give a detailed review as we stayed a considerable time. The good: Looks amazing Generally very clean Smells nice Lots of good kitchen utensils Quiet street with plenty of parking Host company quick to respond Bad points: Had an alergic reaction to whatever washing powder is used. Washing machine had mould around the seal. Floors are thin and can hear woman downstairs shouting at her kid - we were woken up multiple nights by her yelling in the midle of the night. Blinds with no curtains annoying, street lamp right outside the bedroom window and it shines through the slats into your eyes. I ended up hanging a blanket over the window to make the room darker. No drawers in the twin rooms so had to live out of my suitcase for 1.5 months, used the spare bed to put clothes on but chest of drawers as well the clothes hanger would be helpful. Average internet connection. Was comfortable here for our 1.5 month stay and would recommend it aside from the few points above.

Communication was great from pre booking to booking to staying at the property. Check in was simple and we requested a late checkout which was also accommodated. A few issues arose throughout the stay and I must highlight the host(s) were very responsive and did try and resolve the issues in a timely and professional manner. My only issue was with the overall cleanliness, the place looked clean on the surface but everywhere you look you could see thick dust, opening and closing the shutters resulted in more dust, someone dropped their phone under the couch and again loads of dust and items found. A bad persistent smell in the bathroom and a cracked toilet seat did not help. Lack of basic amenities was a small issue (half a toilet roll only available, no hand soap, no dishwashing soap, but just felt there was no attention to detail. This would have easily been a 5 star review if the above were addressed as the property location, furniture and general decor was very good.

We stayed at Martyn’s place for 3 weeks whilst waiting for the keys for our new home. The location of the flat is great as the bus into Newcastle only takes 10 minutes. The flat itself is very spacious which was great for us. The only thing I would say is that the flat needs a deep clean and the bathroom needs some tlc (deep clean around the bath/tiles etc). Apart from that we had a great stay! ☺️
