Ugar and Susan were both fantastic! When I stayed here, I was a medical student attending a rotation in San Antonio for ~1 month, and this site is overall great for 1 person for an extended stay. Overall, I was looking for a place close to the hospital where my rotation was but also close to things to do on my days off, and this place fit the bill perfectly. It's ~5 minutes away from the Alamo/ River Walk, and is about the same distance from an HEB so grocery shopping is very convenient. Noise was never an issue either. Ugar and Susan were extremely responsive to any questions and also let me know of anything I needed to know, and they really went above and beyond in helping me get started (soap, trash bags, etc.). They even checked on me on a particularly cold winter day to make sure there weren't any issues with the heater or any water issues with the below-freezing weather. Fantastic place for 1 person needing an extended stay- I would 100% stay in the Cottage again if I was in SA!
This place felt like a home away from home! I was trying out an internship over the summer, and this little house was perfect for me. The hosts were very nice and always checking in on me; helping me feel welcomed and safe over the 3 months I was there. Definitely recommend for for solo travelers!!
I don't usually write reviews, but Susan and Ugur have been very kind to me. They greeted me upon check in. Offered to help bring in my bags. Quickly fixed the water heater when it broke. Made sure I had all the supplies I needed starting out as far as trash bags, soap etc. They go the extra step. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time tiny living, but now I have decided to upgrade to the world traveler apt next door. So glad to have the same fantastic hosts.

I stayed at Susan and Ugur’s place during a physical therapy school rotation in San Antonio. The hosts were both very welcoming and accommodating and clearly made an effort to make the space feel special! The tiny house is cozy but was the perfect size for what I needed! The place is very close (~ a mile) from downtown San Antonio. I would definitely recommend this unique stay!

We're both artists and love San Antonio. We enjoy bicycling, movies, traveling, making art, teaching art, meeting artists and other friendly people. We have remodeled a turn of the century grocery store building into a private art studio/workshop space. In other two buildings on our property we have 4 AirBnB spaces: -The "Hideout" -The "Cottage" -The “World Traveler” -The "Retrotech Apt" Both buildings, the apartment building and the Cottage, are next door to us, so we're available for assistance if our guests need us.
