Hi, I look forward to welcoming you and your friends and family. If you are staying in the cottages at Brook House (Old Spot, Saddleback, Tamworth, and Berkshire Cottages all named after the rare breed pig breeds) you will see amazing sunsets (all the cottages face west) horses in the fields and as chickens in the farmyard and around the cottage as well as a huge Old Spot boar called Marvin. In the Summer months, swifts and house martins come and visit and perform their aerial acrobatics too. If you are staying at at Foxhills you will see the vale of Mowbray from the balcony and the Hambleton Hills and the North York Moors from the front of the house. You will hear the (muted) sound of church bells you have incredible views depending on what window or large floor-to-ceiling huge window you are looking out from. Depending on the season there will be sheep in the fields at Foxhills and you will hear the sound of owls (barn, little, and tawny all visit) in the night. You will see rabbits, pheasants, and squirrels on the ground as well as blue tits, robins, sparrowhawks, chiffchaffs, and goldfinches in the sky. Both locations are scenic and are surrounded by lovely countryside. At both locations , my aim is to humans living compatibly with nature. I don't spray the fields or surrounding areas with herbicide and I don't use pesticides. Yes you may see bees, dragon flies and other insects but the reason the birds are here is because there are the insects they need to eat to feed on. I appreciate how much we all both need and look forward to our breaks/holiday and I understand the need for clear listings giving information about the property. Whilst the prices vary depending on the chosen accommodation, one thing that doesn't vary is that we seek to give all our guests the same service and the same level of cleanliness, hospitality and welcome in each property booked. We want you to have a great break and return to work/life refreshed and revitalised.
