We had a wonderful time staying here! Beautiful setting on the River. Hummingbirds, great blue herons, and frogs are plentiful and my kids and husband loved the easy access to fish. We highly recommend this beautiful retreat.

Shelley’s cottage is a haven on the Otonabee River and was a perfect place to spend a relaxing long weekend with my family! It was pristine and honestly quite spacious given its size; and was well-stocked with the essentials. We loved hanging out on the backyard deck as well as the dock by the river. The beds are also very comfortable, and we appreciated the fans throughout the home. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Otonabee River Dream is a beautiful place to get away, especially if you enjoy birds, water and kayaking. We saw birds right from the comfort of the cottage deck as well as while kayaking on the river. To name a few, we saw a hummingbird, oriole, osprey, woodpecker, tern and cormorant. We saw more that we did not identify. We also visited the Rolling Grape winery, Zim Art (outdoor art gallery with Zimbabwean stone sculpture - amazing), The Sanctuary Antique shop and enjoyed tarts from the famous Doo Doo's Bakery. We were 5 adults and everyone agreed that the beds were comfortable. The cottage was clean and tidy and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, linens and cookware. I highly recommend Shelley's cottage for a clean, comfortable and fun getaway.
