The Lucky Penny was a nice, quiet place cabin and very close to activities. It was larger than expected so plenty of room for everyone (especially the kitchen and living room). The master bedroom was overly large! It has a rustic feel and a few unique pieces (i.e. "back end" of a bear as a can opener). And, of course, Aurora, the resident white bear.

The Lucky Penny was the perfect location for our weekend family vacation! The house was exactly as listed and a great size for our family of 4. The house was very clean and had everything we needed! The master suite was amazing, and the furniture in the house was sooo comfy. You can tell that Jay really wants the best for his guests and his amenities are so nice. Jay is VERY responsive and made sure we were having the best time. We will come back for sure! This was truly the best ABNB experience we have had!

Jay is a great Superhost. He was always prompt in being responsive. The Lucky Penny is private and still convenient to downtown Blowing Rock (about 10 min) and nearby waterfalls. Clean and spacious. This was our second stay!
