The apartment is located on the Hill of Santana, one of the seven hills of Lisbon.
The Colina de Santana belongs to the parish of Arroios. It’s the hill of hospitals and palace-like buildings. It is where we found the garden of Campo Mártires da Pátria and the pilgrimage of the saint. Just a few steps from the apartment, on "Jardim do Torel", you will find one of the most beautifull urban landscapes in the city.
You can walk all the way up the Hill by foot, or you can use the public transportation "Ascensor do Lavra" that connects basically the street where the apartment is located, and the main avenue in Lisbon " Avenida da Liberdade".
The way up can be tough sometimes, but it can be a healthy exercise with some beautifull sights on a typical Lisbon neighberhood with narrow and sloping streets.

1. How to reach the apartment:
For transportation from the airport, the best way is by uber or taxi.
By public transportation is not a good option if you have a big size luggage. The uber or taxi will leave you right next to the apartment
2. If you have car:
You can park normally on the street parking, but keep in mind that it is charged by time, during week days, from 09:00 until 19:00. The street parking is not charged during holidays or weekends.
There is also a good option on an underground parking that has a maximum daily fee (around 15 eur) where you can leave you car, and its less than 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment. To check additional information you can do a research by Campo Mártires da Pátria - Empark.
3. Once you are in the apartment, to access the city center, you can choose your way or by walking or, since the apartment is located on the top of Hill of Santana, you can use the " Ascensor do Lavra", which is 1 minute walking distance from the apartment. The Ascensor works from 07:00 to 20:30 from monday to friday, and on weekends and holidays from 09:00 until 19:55.
