I came to Lipari as a visitor and left feeling like i was leaving my second home. Ivan was an incredible host and his villa is a dream. It is a charming aeolian style villa that sits on top of a beautiful hill. You are surrounded by olive trees, cacti, and other beautiful trees, flowers and a breathtaking view of the sea. It is secluded and an amazing retreat. The villa is clean and has the cutest classic aeolian decor. The home is locate very close to the port. Ivan picked us up and dropped us off on our final day, which made it very convenient and very pleasant as you immediately feel welcomed as soon as you get off the ferry. Ivan gave us delicious seasonal fruit upon our arrival which was heavenly. Based on his availability he offers transfers to the town. He was responsive to all our needs and made me feel like family. I hope to visit Lipari again soon and there’s no place I would rather stay.

Una settimana da favola.. Casa Mariva è il posto giusto per trascorrere una settimana incantevole a Lipari. La casa è come descritta, le foto rendono ma dal vivo ancora di più! Ivan è un host fantastico! Ci ha accolti direttamente al porto, ci ha fatto trovare frutta fresca e fatto assaggiare tutti i suoi prodotti tipici! Una piacevole scoperta. Sicuramente un posto dove tornarci presto.

Stare a casa di Ivan è stato meraviglioso! La casa era molto funzionale e spaziosa, con una vista impagabile e una splendida terrazza. Stupenda la doccia in giardino tra gli ulivi! Ivan è stato gentilissimo e super disponibile. Spero di tornare presto a Lipari e soggiornare di nuovo a Casa Mariva! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sehr schönes Haus umgeben von Olivenbäumen, Kakteen und Feigenbäumen, mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf das Meer und die Stadt Lipari. Ivan ist ein super freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, hat uns mit Früchten aus dem Garten verwöhnt, uns am Hafen abgeholt und nach unserem Aufenthalt wieder da abgesetzt. Das Haus ist etwas oberhalb der Stadt auf einem Hügel gelegen durch einen Pfad aber in etwa 15min zu Fuss erreichbar. Ein Strand ist in etwas mehr als 30min Fussmarsch zu erreichen. Auf der grossen Terrasse gibt es einen tollen Aussengrill, damit lassen sich schöne weinselige Abende verbringen.

Casa Mariva is a fantastic house just outside the town of Lipari. It is on a hill that overlooks the town and the sea with really great views, especially from the terrace. The house is surrounded by olive trees, fig trees and typical mediterranean plants. It has two double rooms and a single room. The kitchen is nice and spacious. The bathroom is ok and it has an outside shower with views to the sea that is great in the summertime. Ivan is a great host that has taken care of us throughout outlr stay and made sure that we had everything we needed. He picked us up at hte ferry port and droppes us off the last day. He even brought us fresh fruit from his organic orchard. We tried his pear jam and his homegrown Sicilian capers. He put us in contact with Geraldine, who took us on her boat around the island reaching wild beaches that we couldn’t get to by car otherwise. In summary: great house, great host, great island.
