5 stars for the screened-in Lanai, for lazy mornings and afternoons with that eagles-nest view and no bugs. On our 5th trip to Big Island, at our other AirBnBs we always wished for this. Everything was as-represented in the post, and felt clean and new-ish. Also, we rent AirBnB for the privacy of it, so I was curious how I’d feel about having the caretaker in the ground floor - but this place is clearly “for the renters” and I always felt all the privacy I wanted. The caretaker was very gracious and helped guide us to having fresh avocados, mangoes, and bananas from the trees on site during our stay. We return to this spot on the island because the elevation is perfect: just high enough up the slope to get a nice afternoon cool down after a hot day on the beach, but still low enough on the slope to still feel mostly sunny.

We loved our stay at Jenne’s place! It was beautiful, well-stocked and perfect for our group of four adults and two kids. We really enjoyed hanging out on the screened-in lanai, and liked that it felt very isolated but was just a short drive to Kailua-Kona and to several coffee farms that we toured. The sounds of the frogs at night and the birds in the morning were actually really pretty and soothing, and weren’t loud enough to bother any of us. Debi was so nice and helpful, and Jenne was very responsive to messages. We would definitely stay here again.

Stunning Hawaiian Gem with Breathtaking Sunset Views! This 3BR/2BA home in Kailua-Kona is an absolute must if you want an unforgettable experience. While the listing photos hint at the gorgeous views, nothing can prepare you for the actual jaw-dropping sunset vistas from the lanai. Cleanliness is impeccable - possibly the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in. Fully stocked with all amenities (beach gear, kitchen supplies, toiletries). Located just a 10 min drive from downtown, providing the perfect balance of access while avoiding crowds. Hosts are extremely hospitable - promptly communicating, giving great local tips, and the onsite manager was so accommodating. We even had friendly neighbors greeting us with Hawaiian specialties! Between the stunning views, full kitchen saving money, plentiful amenities, and prime locale just outside downtown, the value can't be beat. We'd return in a heartbeat to this relaxing, thoughtfully-appointed home. 5/5 stars - you won't be disappointed!
