The place was great! A short drive from both Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula, and was a great place to come back to after days of exploration. Low tide didn’t time out well to visit the private island often, but we made it out once!

The best of the best! We stay at this property every year and we fall in love with this place every time. Incredible trails within minutes away, your own beach/ walkable island at low tide, a short drive to Bar Harbor. One of the first traditions my husband and I established as a couple- coming here for the first time 6 years ago with our German shepherd puppy Luna. It has the most special place in our hearts and always will. Alicia is a great host who is quick to respond to any message you send her! She’s very kind and attentive to guests. Truly an oasis here and we count ourselves very lucky to have found this spot years ago. We will be back again next fall to continue our favorite tradition ! Don’t miss out on this gem !

Our stay at Alicia’s cottage accommodated our sleeping needs with 3 comfortable beds. However, upon arrival it would have been nice to have some outside lighting (it was very dark & difficult to see from the road). Although their was a Keurig for coffee but no pods. Upon me messaging Alicia she stated that pods were not listed under amenities & we should have brought our own. As an frequent Airbnb guest, it has been my experience that host tend to greet there guests with small treats, coffee & shower amenities. We had little or no amenities at the cottage. Our concern was the electrical issue with the lights. Alicia mentioned that they were aware of the electrical issue but had not gotten around to fixing it. I must mention that it was very kind of Alicia to show up at the cottage the next morning & bring us a box of Keurig pods. I forgot to mention that two windows were missing blinds.

Alicia’s cottage was so perfect for our honeymoon getaway. The cottage was clean and comfortable- everything we needed. Our dog was right at home also! The private bay is so special and gorgeous. The drive into bar harbor /Acadia was about 40 min- the scenery makes the drive go by in a flash!

Cute place, 45 minutes from Acadia/Bar Harbor and within walking distance of bay views.
