The Villa is very pretty designed. The owner was very flexibel and we could even check in a day early as our plans changed spontaneously. You should know that there is a big office building overlooking the garden that is not seen in the pictures. And only the bedroom is really indoors. The bathroom has an open roof so the temperature and humidity in the bathroom is pretty high. Also the kitchen is under a roof but it’s outdoors. We think for western standards the kitchen is unusable. Because it’s outside there are a ton of mosquitoes and flys all the time and one night we left our bread on the countertop and animals ransacked it over night. You should also know that there is a small mosquito problem. We tried our best to keep our bedroom door closed but every night we had some inside and there is no mosquito net over the bed which would be very useful. If you are fine with these small problems it’s a great and beautiful Airbnb!!

We spent 6 nights at Tharuka's villa and we could not wish for better ending of our trip to Sri Lanka. Everything looked exactly like the pictures. We loved the privacy of the villa as well as the location (close to the ocean and to the city centre). Swimming pool was perfect on a hot day. Highly recommended!

Tharuka ist ein absoluter Superhost. Er hat uns klasse Empfehlungen für Unternehmungen gegeben und hat auf jede Nachricht super schnell reagiert. Er hat uns bei allem geholfen und eine super Safari für uns organisiert. Zusätzlich ist er noch unser absoluter Superhero, weil er uns geholfen hat unsere Kreditkarte zurückzubekommen, die von einem Bankautomaten eingezogen wurde. Tausend Dank nochmals dafür 🙏. Die Villa ist wirklich toll und wir haben uns sofort super wohl hier gefühlt. Unsere Kinder haben den Pool absolut geliebt. Alles was man braucht ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Wir können die Unterkunft absolut empfehlen.
