I was really happy with Mereoni's place. She and her family were kind and friendly, and her cooking was really good. The facilities are simple, but adequate. The bay that Yalobi Villiage sits in is really beautiful, and and the nearby coral is quite good. I really hope you enjoy staying there, just as I did.

Best holiday ever!! Mereoni went above and beyond to make our holiday the best. The fresh food from the island that was prepared for us was definitely the best meals I’ve ever had! Even my fussy 2yr old was enjoying it. It was the most I’ve seen him eat. The facilities were better than I expected. The beach and surrounds are so stunning! We enjoyed swimming everyday while the local kids would climb the trees and get fresh coconuts for us to drink. My personal highlight was the very friendly locals especially the kids who entertained my toddler all day. I can’t thank Mereoni enough for making our holiday comfortable, relaxing and so much fun! Will be coming back again and often! I’m getting hungry again thinking about all the AMAZING food we had

i enjoyed my say at onie‘s place and the quiet village life. everybody in the village was very friendly. the room i stayed was very clean, so were the basic washroom/shower and toilet next to the house. special thanks to onie for taking me on a small hike to an amazing view point and letting me tag along on a sea-grapes-harvesting low-tide-walk. vinaka!

I don’t know what to say to convey the absolute amazing experience I had. Onnie and her family were such amazing hosts as well as everyone from the whole village, in a very short time I felt like I was part of the family. While there I 100% experienced the real Fiji and I would definitely recommend the stay to anyone.

Staying with Oni in Yalobi village is a once in a lifetime experience. Just talking about the location Waya island is a little slice of paradise island beach with fantastic views. And you wake up and step out directly to this beach every morning. Then Oni as a host is very helpful, helps you navigate the sevusevu (offering for permission to be around the village) and cooks you and abundance of food every day so you will never go hungry. On top of that she is nice to speak with and has two wonderful children that add smiles to your time in Yalobi. The village is quite small which is perfect for starting to actually get to know some of the people who are very friendly and sweet. If I were you I might ask Oni if there is anything you can bring before you come because sometimes things that you don’t use or are really cheap for you can be useful for the village. In lieu of writing paragraphs and paragraphs I will just say that you really get window into Fijian culture that to me has been invaluable. Come, stay for some days and see for yourself.
