A lovely country house in the scenic foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Great getaway for groups looking to get some relaxing peace and quite but also not too far from urban amenities. We really enjoyed our stay.

The property has a beautiful garden, is well maintained and is located in a remote area of the Kilimanjaro region. The house is very comfortable with an equipped kitchen well suited to make meals. The host is very accommodating and aims to make their guests feel at home. We would happily return to this property.

This is a truly attractive place: beautiful surroundings, peaceful and quiet, beautiful and practical house, well-equipped kitchen, nice back veranda to eat breakfasts and other meals, private... with a background in the highlands of East Africa, I felt truly at home. I will definitely go back if I can and need. This was my second stay. And Magdalena was wonderfully flexible with my many changes of dates (few nights away in-between, which I kept on changing!). There were a couple of hiccups with plumbing, but they were sorted out quite quickly. The WiFi was first missing, but was found in a day's time. Powercuts are frequent in this area, and they affect the water pressure from taps, but there is a generator, and small battery lights to help you cope (just gives you a taste of the reality in Africa). The gardener is a wonderfully polite and helpful person who proactively asks if the generator is needed when power disappears. He is always around and you can always reach him by phone.

The place as a whole is a very beautiful country place. It is in the middle of the Chagga homegarden area. Only quiet country sounds of birds, bush babies, frogs, crickets and maybe quiet chatting from neighbors' places. The house it beautifully furnished, spacious, practical and clean. There is a possibility to sit outdoors as well on the back veranda (my favorite spot) or in the garden. Electricity tends to cut every now and then, but there is a generator. The latter does spoil the quietness of course, so one might not want to keep it going long times. Very helpful and polite staff are always close-by, but allow privacy. I enjoyed my stay a lot!
