The house is in a great location. It’s quiet, great views, good pool. Good support from Jos, the person managing the property locally. Overall it was a good property, let down by a couple of things: firstly, for a top end property, it was a bit tatty around the edges. Broken furniture, holes in the bed linen, limited cooking equipment. Secondly, the so called Superhost was verbose but ineffective in dealing with these issues. Overall, this is a good property but they either need to improve the quality or reduce the price to reflect its current quality.
A beautiful villa with the most amazing views as far as the eye can see. Outdoor pool area is particularly lovely with perfect sized pool and outdoor cooking area. The host was so attentive and helpful before and during our stay, nothing was too much trouble and their response quickly. Thank you Jos and Fabio. We were left lots of goodies which was a really nice touch. The villa was hard to find at night using g maps but if you use the directions provided by the host, you should not have a problem. A wonderful week, thank you.
We had a great time. Location is good. If you like it quiet and want to have a nice view - we def. recommend to stay here. Pool is clean and big enough. just be aware that is deep - so not 100% ideal if you travel with kids. Check-In / check-out and communication was easy.
This was our second stay at this gorgeous villa in a beautiful setting. Exactly as advertised and highly recommend!

The olive tree has been declared by the Association of Cretan Olive Municipalities as a natural monument because of its shape and the exceptional aesthetics of its relied truck, reminiscent of exceptional woodwork.
The tree is located at Pano Vouves and belongs to Panagiotis Karapatakis. Its variety is called mastoid and is grafted on a rootstock of a wild olive tree. From this tree, the winner of the men’s’ marathon in the Olympic Games Athens 2004 was crowned.
The trunk at a height of 0.9m from the ground has a diameter of 3.70m and a circumference of 8.10m, while its base has a diameter of 4.53m and a circumference of 12.55m. Locals say that the olive is the oldest in the world, but this is not true as the olive tree at Azorias is older.
The area around the tree host a great olive museum and accepts thousands of visitors from around the world.
