Jack made me feel very much at home at his place. The house is very spacious, and the family is very friendly. You notice from the first moment that Jack is not into this purely from a business perspective - he is genuinely interested in helping people explore his country, and in learning something from his guests. He has all the maps and brochures, and a lot of personal advice, as he knows the city well, including which places are good to eat. Moreover, Jack will put a bike to your disposal - a great way to explore the area around Hualien, as there are bike paths going to some very nice spots. Highly recommended for both shorter and longer stays.

Jack was so hospitable that he introduced us a lot of local snack and sights in Hualian. The room we stayed was comfortable and clean, hope we have chances to stay there again :)

This was an amazing home stay experience. We normally opt for an entire property but we were very glad we didn't on this occasion. Jack is a kind, friendly & helpful man who helped is out with everything we did. His communication was excellent throughout. He even recommended a fantastic activity for a rainy day in visiting Tzu-Chi, which was one of the best experiences of my life! The room was large, clean & very comfortable with a great en suite bathroom equipped with a power shower. Everything was perfect for our stay. We owe him many thanks & would urge anyone to stay here.
