On the banks of the James River your cabin hideaway awaits. Approach through a protected tree-lined lane our hand-cut log cabin. 3 levels, a soaring 18-foot ceiling, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, and office. Double porches, gazebo, kayaks + SUPs, fishing tackle, swings, open yard, canoe + boat launch. Espresso maker, state-of-the-art appliances. And our 3 horses walk the property’s perimeter within their track. Our home is yours! (But the horses are not to be touched - only admired!) On the main floor, a large porch welcomes you, with an outdoor dining table that seats 8. Inside, an open floor plan has a large kitchen with modern appliances flowing into a dining room that sits 8, and a large living room with sectional sofa that seats 8. A door leads to a large balcony with outdoor dining table. Down the hall, a full bath and bedroom with full bed and large closet, looking out onto the balcony. On the upper level, a loft office with couch, desk and standing work table sits beside the newly-renovated primary bath. The large primary bedroom with King Bed, desk, leather chair, Peloton and rowing machine. On the lower level, a play room with couch and children's toys, bedroom, storage room, full bath, infant's room, and washer / dryer room. Outside, an acre of open land, gazebo, clothes line, woods, and trail to the river. Across the road, Deep Bottom Park, with picnic tables, docks and launches, and trails.

We had a lovely stay and created wonderful memories with our friends and family at this beautiful log cabin. This is the perfect place if you are looking for a remote getaway that is still easy access to Richmond, which has plenty to do. Our favorite was waking up and looking at the 3 horses, taking walks down to the river, and our kids playing together in the playroom, which has all the toys a kid could ever want. The home is absolutely beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, and responsive. We would highly recommend staying here.
Jason and Becki were quick to respond and up front about their lovely home, property, and animals. Easy access to the James River & creek which were great for kids and dogs! Italian joint in nearby town recommended by Jason and Becki was amazing!
We had a wonderful stay at Jason's home! The location is beautiful and private. Their home is thoughtfully arranged (with Christmas decorations around the holidays!) and the wood is gorgeous. Jason was extremely responsive to our requests. I would recommend this home to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The clean, spacious home was so nice after hours of traveling. We loved the huge, clean kitchen and clean bathrooms, the rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the games and activities provided were so, so fun. Our whole family enjoyed playing together. We especially enjoyed the private back deck to drink our coffee in the morning. Thank you for providing our family with a wonderful getaway!

Deep Bottom Road cuts a narrow path straight into the James River, reaching the water at a quiet boat landing surrounded by woods and nearby farms. Situated in one of the most historic stretches in the region, here significant Civil War battles were fought, Native American tribes fished and thrived, and some of the largest plantations were founded. Three docks make for easy fishing and kayak or canoe launching on both the James and Four Mile Creek. Multiple nesting sites for bald eagle couples and their young are to the East and West. 300+ acres of protected land surrounds the Cabin, which itself sits on 2 acres of partly wooded land. To the north, the Capital Trail -- the region's largest cycling trail that spans 50+ miles -- is accessible by bike, cutting through ancient farms, historic battle sites, and birding and wildlife trails.
Parking for multiple vehicles on site. Electric vehicle charging available on premises. The region's largest and longest biking trail intersects the road leading to the cabin, less than 2 miles away. Because of the secluded location, all shops and supply stores are best reached by car.
