It’s a good, old style motel. The location is near the Columbia River. There is a railroad between the River and Motel, and I was waking up couple of times at night. You have everything you need for a traveler there. The self serving breakfast is a big plus!

Good value in an expensive area. Rooms are cute and clean. Very friendly and helpful presence on site. Trains do go by right next to the hotel and fairly often and you'll have to get in the car to do or see anything. On a happier note, I accidentally left my wallet and car keys on the front seat of my unlocked car all night and they were right there the next morning. I'd stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay in this great old hotel. Very close to Hood River and The Dalles. Lovely patio/garden area. Appreciated the self-serve breakfast. Could hear the trains, but actually enjoyed their company. Looking forward to returning, esp. when restaurant and bar are open. Helpful staff - Merika was great! Thank you!

No iron. Was not explained that the bathrooms were all community bathrooms. Was not aware that breakfast was "make it on your own". Otherwise, if you're looking for more of a hostile situation for a night or two, it's nice and cozy. Merika was accessible via text and I appreciated that.
