Good stay on the whole - clean and spacious room, friendly staff, and great that it’s dog-friendly! Perhaps a little expensive for what it is, we’d have liked a larger bed for that price. Well-connected to the city centre by bus or scooter (there’s a Voi rack right by the hotel, which came in handy).

Rooms situated above a pub/bar/cocktail lounge (described as a ‘hotel’) in the listing. The welcome was very friendly (Charlotte) but the room itself was very disappointing. A lot of the furniture was damaged and it took us 10 minutes to find the light switch behind the headboard. There was rudimentary tea making stuff but no coffee. Had to request two glasses for water from the bar downstairs. Towels and bedding were clean but one towel was ripped. Photos show a lovely photo of the view - however one sash window could not be held open and the bin had to be utilised to prop it open and the other two windows were so filthy that no view could be seen through them. Despite hottest week of the year no fan offered. Bathroom cubicle was built into the room, WC has pee stain on it and toilet roll holder missing. Outside of ‘hotel’ was generally very grotty with fag butts, dead plants and litter. Doubt this listing will ever get good reviews unless a significant improvement is made to the attention to detail, cleanliness and facilities. Won’t be booking again. NB - feel qualified to write this unfavourable review as I am also an AirBnB host and know what can be achieved with a little thought and care.

All round good place to stay
