Having been lovingly restored, the result provides a harmony between old and new. Wide stone walls and original beamed ceilings characterfully blend with modern facilities. Arch doorways open onto a glorious terrace large with a huge 120 sq.m. pool with inbuilt jacuzzi. You will find delight in the ever changing vista of the horizon, where clear blue skies transform into burnt orange sunsets. Horseshoe bays and a glorious, golden sandy beach sweep along the coastline, with tavernas and beach bars at your disposal, close to the villa. The charming old town of Rethymno with its fortress and harbour, array of restaurants, cafes, boutiques and amenities is just a short drive along the coast, where you can reconnect with society before the haven of Villa Rodanthi embraces you once again. With 5 double bedrooms, the villa sleeps 10 comfortably. Ground Floor The 4750 sqm plot of Villa Rodanthi greets you with its vineyard and gardens, including fruit trees, olives and an organic vegetable garden, which you are encouraged to pick from. Entering the 200sqm house, the ground floor space is differentiated by open stone archways between rooms, creating a sense of open plan living yet also allowing some segregation. Inside the main entrance, one finds a small vestibule with a desk. Continuing through the space leads to the first dining area with a table which seats 4. Providing a relaxed social space where you can play games and congregate away from the sunlight, it leads to the lounge which offers a homely space with a fireplace and 65” Smart TV. Furnished with comfy sofas , the lounge has been carefully arranged for communal gatherings and to enjoy the view provided from both the windows and patio doors which lead to the pool terrace. The second and main indoor dining table which seats 8 is found to the side of the lounge, again positioned to enjoy the exterior views but also allowing seamless access to the kitchen. Well sized and fully equipped with appliances, the kitchen provides all the facilities you need to rustle up home cooked holiday dinners plus a stocked wine fridge (payable locally) so you always have a delicious glass of wine to accompany your meal. A further table for 4 can be found in the kitchen for casual breakfasts and an exterior door leads directly to the barbecue area and outdoor dining table for practical flow. The first of the five double bedrooms can be found on the ground floor. Characterised by the light stone walls found throughout the house, the room is equipped with a king size bed (1,60 x 2,00) , ample storage space, a mini fridge, 32” Smart TV and patio doors which lead to a furnished private balcony looking out to the garden. A modern bathroom is available on the ground floor with a toilet, sink and shower cubicle. First Floor Following the wooden staircase to the first floor, 4 double bedrooms can be found. Each bedroom is designed for comfort, boasting a king size bed (1,60 x 2,00), 32” Smart TV, mini fridge and balcony. Ceiling fans are also available within each bedroom as the villa is built from stone, meaning it is naturally cooler in the summer, reducing the need for air conditioning. Two rooms have garden views while the 2 bedrooms at the front of the house share a large balcony boasting pool, sea and countryside views. Comfortable in both size and features, 3 of the bedrooms share a bathroom with toilet, sink, shower cubicle and washing machine, while the fourth bathroom offers luxurious ensuite facilities including double sinks and two shower cabins. Outdoor Area Villa Rodanthi sits within a 4750sqm plot, with 600sqm of outdoor living space. Wrapped in gardens boasting fruit trees, vegetables and a vineyard, it forms a natural haven which is only heightened by the surrounding countryside. The outdoor amenities include: - A huge 120sqm pool, 20 x 6 m, with sloped entrance and maximum depth of 1,50m which can be heated upon prior request. The size of the pool offers the perfect place to play or exercise. In tune with the Villa Rodanthi policy to try to reduce its footprint on the environment, the pool is cleaned by an eco friendly salt electrolysis system. The pool and Jacuzzi can be heated upon request with an additional daily charge. (Please note that the pool heating can be used upon advance request for the entire stay and it requires at least one week advance notice.) - A jacuzzi within the main pool, with seating area looking out to the captivating vista - Spacious poolside terrace offering comfortable sunbeds with mattress and umbrellas for shade. The terrace is large enough to accommodate a small wedding reception. - 2 separate tables, each providing seating for 8 people, positioned under the pergola beyond the main house, from which to enjoy chromatic sunsets and sea views while relaxing with a sociable drink or catching up on a good book. - A barbecue area with charcoal barbecue, wood oven and outdoor sink, all under the shade of a pergola. - A long wooden dining table that seats 12 within the barbecue area for al fresco dining - 4 exterior access WC’s and 2 exterior access bathrooms with shower cubicles located by the pool, decorated and equipped to high design such as those within the main house and providing poolside convenience. - A path leads around the house and through the large gardens that beautifully envelop the house with plants, vegetables, fruit trees and a home vineyard - Ample parking space within the villa grounds for at least 4 cars. [Additional Services] Villa Rodanthi benefits from some additional hotel-like services to ensure a comfortable stay for our guests: - Daily housekeeping from 10:00 to 13:00 except Sundays & final cleaning. - Small wedding receptions can be held at the villa with an additional charge.

The place is truly fantastic. The views are great. The organic vegetable garden is a nice additional touch. The organic cosmetics from Korres Were a nice touch. The host was very responsive and offered excellent local recommendations.
Beautiful villa, panoramic views of the sea! Pool was clean. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking family meals. Host, Kathy, was wonderful to work with! We pulled eggplants, tomatoes and peppers out of the garden for dinner! Peaceful and quiet location.
We had a lovely stay at Villa Rodanthi. There was more than enough room for 3 couples and a toddler, we were really surprised at the range of equipment (especially in the kitchen and BBQ area) - we needed nothing other than food! Pool was amazing, rooms were clean and big, lots of places to sit and unwind. Close access to beaches, the beautiful town of Rethymno, and even the lake Kournas - which our toddler loved. Concierge service was excellent, sorted taxis and restaurants for us - even personally delivered pizza for us on the last day. Overall very relaxing, would heartily recommend.
The villa is located just outside of Episkopi village, 15kms west of Rethymno town. The village of Episkopi offers a mini market and a couple of local tavernas. Further amenities can be found in the area of Kavros, just 6kms west of the villa or in Rethymno town which offers an array of facilities and large supermarkets. Long sandy beaches, beach bars and tavernas can all be found along the coastline, just below the villa. Surrounded by beautiful landscape, there are many lovely local areas to explore and being so close to the national highway makes discovering Crete that much easier.
