Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Valhalla. The house and cottages were clean and very well oeganized. Everyone thought the memory foam beds were very comfortable. The house was extremely well stocked, with an abundance of games and a thoughtful snack basket being the cherries on top. The house had all the necessities for both babies and pets, which we greatly appreciated. On top of all that, the location is fantastic. Far enough into the woods to be private, but still just a 15-20 minute drive into Bryson City. All in all, we couldn't be happier with our stay. We highly recommend this place if you're looking for a mountain getaway in the area. A couple of notes for accessibility purposes... The main living room is upstairs (though the staircase is wide), and the last section of the road to the house is gravel and somewhat steep. Neither of these things were problems for us, but I think they're worth knowing before you book.

The house was incredible- very clean, private, and close to activities in Bryson City. Debra has thought of everything- and labeled everything so it’s easy to find. We loved sitting on the porch and relaxing in the hot tub. There is a stream at the bottom of the property- it’s super peaceful to sit on the porch with a nice view of the mountains, listening to the stream below. We hope to visit again. Debra was very responsive and even checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. One of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had.

Such a lovely home. We enjoyed everything. Beautiful surroundings, cozy home, well stocked kitchen, amazing snack basket and s’mores kits ready after 2 long days of driving were a welcome sight for the family. We loved the dogs who would come by and there’s even a lovely little waterfall up the hill from the house. Beautiful sunsets every night. And just 15 min drive from great coffee shop, grocery and restaurants. Kids loved the recliners and the m/w popcorn. We loved the hot tub. The beds were a bit soft for the adults but the kids slept amazingly well. Teen daughter loved having her own tiny house! Will definitely be back!

Positives: nice house,plenty of room for our group, game room is fun, nice kitchen with table where cooking could happen while everybody could be in same area,very organized and labeled so easy to navigate where stuff was located, place was very clean, we were there during cold weather and liked the little propane stove in the north corner of the kitchen area, everything you needed for cooking, beds were comfortable, upstairs living room had great windows, decorated well, most interesting amount of different amenities of any cabin we’ve stayed in before. Negative: 5-10%of people have issues with strong scents and the plug in air freshener was pretty strong. Also 5-10% of people have issues with underlying moisture problems and related health issues that come from this exposure. This happened to one of the 8 adults.

Our stay was great! Debra is a wonderful host. Everything was very clean and well organized! The house itself is gorgeous and is equipped with everything you need. We loved hanging out in the living room beautifully decorated for the holidays. We also enjoyed the game room. I loved sipping my morning coffee on the porch overlooking the beautiful surroundings. The beds were very comfy. Our dog loved the dog cottage and so did we. We did not encounter any problems at all. One of our best cabin stays! We can't wait to be back to experience even more of what the area has to offer. Debra, thanks you again so much for your hospitality and all the treats!
